Landscapes

The Spring and Summer months are a time where John's studio becomes the gardens and landscapes of South Canterbury, here he can be found out painting en plein air amongst the fields of the local farmers and in the garden where floral life is abundant, whilst the cooler months bring the beauty and majesty of snow-capped peaks and crisp blue lakes. John will make the most of any opportunity to be out capturing the glory that is the New Zealand landscape. His landscapes are expressive, spontaneous and filled with movement. The thick luscious layers of oils bringing these scenes to life inviting the viewer to resonate with places close to their hearts and bringing colour and energy to any room.
