Summer Fields - John Badcock
Posted by Susan Badcock on 9th Apr 2026
Summer Fields brings together a new body of paintings by John Badcock inspired by the cultivated landscapes of South Canterbury. Fields of carrots, radish, and other seed crops are rendered in Badcock’s distinctive style, carefully observed yet painterly, with a rich palette and strong sense of rhythm across the land. Painted from life, these works capture the quiet beauty of working fields in summer, where ordered rows, shifting light, and subtle colour create unexpectedly lyrical compositions. The exhibition celebrates the patterns, textures, and seasonal abundance of the rural landscape.
Exhibition on until 18 April 2026
