Delve into the meticulously hand-coloured works that have been six-months in the making, the final result being a painterly tribute to the old masters and a contemporary nod to the jewel-like tones of modern society.
On the cusp of compost, these peonies have been captured drooping and slowly falling from their vases. Petals are scattered, yet the flowers maintain an ethereal grace and beauty that is complimented by the fragility of crystal and the delicate pattern of fine bone china.
Inspired by friends and drawing on personal artistic licence, this is a Peonies series that has taken on a direction unlike any before.
