SUSAN BADCOCK
ARTIST
“Black and white with a hint of colour. This is how I see the world”.
Since graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (photography major) and a Diploma of Teaching, Susan Badcock has opened her own Studio/Gallery, managed an artist residency programme, worked as a photographic technician, a photography assistant and photographic tutor. She lives in Geraldine, New Zealand.
“Science and art combine as I work directly on my monochromatic images, adding layers of subtle water-coloured pigments that are sensitively and meticulously swept by brush, or oil-based photo paint that is rubbed and manipulated with cotton”.
